[Dossier 2024] Der Diskurs über die stationäre Unterbringung von Säuglingen in der Schweiz
Abstract
Der fachliche Diskurs über die stationäre Unterbringung von Säuglingen erreichte in der Schweiz in den 1950/60er-Jahren einen Höhepunkt. Im Fokus standen sowohl die damaligen Bedingungen der Unterbringung und deren Folgen (vgl. Hospitalismus) als auch daran anknüpfende Reformideen und -bemühungen. Diesem Beitrag liegt eine Studie zugrunde, deren methodischer Ausgangspunkt eine Diskursanalyse anhand historischer Quellen ist, welche dem damaligen professionellen wie fachpolitischen Diskurs zugeordnet werden können. Zentrales Ziel ist es, einerseits nationale wie regionale Spuren der Problematisierung im Diskurs über die stationäre Unterbringung von Säuglingen zu präsentieren und andererseits die Diskursivierung von Reformen herauszuarbeiten. Die Ergebnisse werden mit Blick auf die Frage nach diskursiven Wissensverschiebungen und dominanten Dispositiven erörtert.

The Discourse on the Hospitalization of Infants in Switzerland
The professional discourse on the hospitalization of infants peaked in Switzerland in the 1950/60s. The focus was on the conditions of care at that time and their consequences (cf. hospitalism) as well as on related reform ideas and efforts. This article is based on a study whose methodological starting point is a discourse analysis using historical sources that can be assigned to the professional and specialized political discourse of the time. The central aim is, on the one hand, to present (national and regional) traces of problematization in the discourse on the placement of infants in institutions (homes, hospitals) and, on the other hand, to elaborate the discursification of reforms. The results are discussed regarding the question of discursive shifts in knowledge and dominant dispositives.
