[Dossier 2025] Posthumanismus und Soziale Arbeit. Sympathien und Kritik

Abstract

Posthumanistisches Denken stellt eine neue und interessante theoretische und praktische Perspektive für Soziale Arbeit dar, die im deutschsprachigen Raum noch kaum rezipiert wurde. Der Beitrag diskutiert zunächst ausgewählte epistemologische Grundlagen posthumanistischen Denkens, die sich auf die Kritik des Humanismus beziehen, dar und nimmt sympathisierend und kritisch dazu Stellung. Ferner werden einige Thematiken, die für den Diskurs der Sozialen Arbeit bedenkenswert sind, aufgegriffen. Sie beinhalten die Themen Autonomie, ethische Fragestellungen sowie praktische und utopische Momente.

Posthumanism and social work. Likability and criticism

Posthumanistic thinking represents a new and interesting theoretical and practical perspective for social work that has hardly been received in German-speaking countries. The article first discusses selected epistemological foundations of posthumanistic thinking, which relate to the critique of humanism, and takes a sympathetic and critical stance on this. Furthermore, some topics that are worth considering for the discourse of social work are taken up. They include autonomy, ethical questions as well as practical and utopian moments.
